Attending her fifth and final year at Capilano University for a degree in music education, Monica Sumulong has been giving her all to what she does best — play bass. Through overloaded schedules and endless rehearsals, she found her passion in musical performance. Versatile in different styles, she has played with the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra, a local video game cover band, a few of the big bands and jazz choirs at Capilano University as well as her own jazz trio. With her most recent and exciting involvements of Tatters & Ravens, Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen (Famous Artists), Secret Garden (Exit 22), My Fair Lady (Royal City Musical Theater), Hairspray and Oliver! (Theatre Under The Stars), last year’s production of Snapshots and an upcoming year of post secondary waiting, Monica is excited to be a part of the remount of Snapshots!
