Jocelyn is thrilled to be returning to the cast of this amazing production, and to share the stage with such a talented group of artists. She recently appeared in Les Miserables at the Arts Club Theatre Company, and in December, will be appearing as Maia in Theatre Calgary’s world premiere of Nicholas Lloyd Webber’s new musical, The Little Prince.
Jocelyn grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she began acting, singing, and dancing in regional productions at the age of seven. She holds a B.F.A. in Acting from the University of British Columbia, and then continued her studies at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. In addition to acting on stage and in film, she has been playing classical piano and flute from a very young age, has trained in ballet, jazz, and tap, and is a classically trained vocalist. She most recently played Elle Woods in Legally Blonde (TUTS), for which she won an Ovation Award, an E.V. Young Award, an Aida Broadbent Award, and was a finalist on the CBC show Triple Sensation, receiving an award for Most Outstanding Actress. Other selected credits include Adrienne in Strawman, Anais Pnin in The Idiots Karamazov, Anastasie in Old Goriot, Beatrice in Unity 1918, Rose in Ruddigore, and Ariel in Footloose, to name a few. When she’s not performing, Jocelyn teaches voice, musical theatre, and acting to children at a few different academies throughout the Lower Mainland.
Thank you to the entire cast and creative team of Snapshots for this opportunity, and to da Costa Talent for their relentless dedication. A special thank you to my family, friends, and professors, whose tireless support and encouragement has helped shape me into the artist that I am today, and most importantly, to my husband, for his unwavering love and support.
